“The Butler” has already earned plenty of media interest because Oprah Winfrey has signed on for a role. But the rest of the cast is similarly prestigious. Forest Whitaker, Alan Rickman, John Cusack, Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jane Fonda, David Oyelowo, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Colman Domingo and Minka Kelly are all confirmed for parts in the movie.

The film chronicles the real-life story of Eugene Allen, a butler who worked under eight presidents in the White House beginning with Harry Truman in 1952 and ending with Ronald Reagan in 1986. Williams is just the latest to join the president’s club in this movie, as it has already been reported that Rickman will play Reagan and Cusack will play Richard Nixon, while Fonda will play Nancy Reagan and Kelly will play Jackie Kennedy. The movie will be based on Wil Haygood’s report, “A Butler Well Served by This Election.”

“The Butler” is set to begin filming later in July in New Orleans. Hopefully the other five presidents will be cast soon, because we can’t wait to see which of our favorite actors will be sent to the Oval Office.

Several of the mourners in attendance had been at the showing or working in the theater when shots rang out.

At nearby Queen of Peace Roman Catholic church, more than 1,000 gathered Friday evening for a memorial Mass. Denver Archbishop Samuel Aquila assured those gathered, “The heart of our Father is stronger than the bullets that killed 12 people.”

Friday also marked the beginning of the Global Dance Festival in Morrison, Colorado, at Red Rocks Amphitheater, a roughly 30-minute drive from Aurora . Organizer Triad Dragons Entertainment issued a statement Friday saying they would include a moment of silence during the event to honor victims and their families.

“Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors here in the Colorado community who are affected by this senseless act of violence. As a Colorado based company, this incident is especially personal and serves as an unwelcomed reminder that life is so very fragile,” Triad Dragons CEO Ha Hau said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been impacted by this tragedy. For the fans joining us tonight at Global Dance Festival, we will be observing a moment of silence at 8:30 to honor the victims and their families.”

Swedish House Mafia member and veteran house music DJ/producer Steve Angello, who would be performing at the fest, issued a statement to MTV News, saying: “I’d like to express my deepest condolences to the families of those affected by the horrible events in Aurora, Colorado. It’s unfair that so many precious lives were lost in this tragedy and during a leisure activity that so many of us participate in every day. Tonight’s performance at Global Dance Festival is dedicated to the memory of those we lost in Aurora, Colorado.”

A makeshift memorial of 12 candles and flowers has been set up near the theater’s entrance.

A suspect, 24-year-old James Holmes was taken into custody on Friday. In his weekly address on Saturday (July 21), President Barack Obama vowed that whoever was responsible for the grisly attacks would be held accountable.

“The federal government stands ready to do everything necessary to bring whoever is responsible for this heinous crime to justice,” he said. “We will take every step possible to ensure the safety of all our people and we will stand by our neighbors in Colorado during this extraordinarily difficult time.”

It’s horrifying,” he said. “I don’t think you can blame what the movie’s about with what happened. I think that’s just one sick individual that used it as an opportunity to do this.”

The Internet, its main mission is justice,” Chris said of the story’s viral status. “All it really wants is for people to be treated fairly, that everyone is getting the right treatment. I want those things too, but I’m a human being and I make mistakes and I’ve made more than people are willing to accept, so I have a lot of atoning to do. I have to improve what people think of me.

“I should have left that dude alone,” he continued. “I didn’t think. My intentions were to be protective of my opener, and I interrupted his set and it was all about me, and that wasn’t the right thing to do. It should’ve been about Richie, I should have ignored the tweet and let it go. If I’ve learned anything, I need to let go and loosen my tight grip on the reins and let chaos happen.”

Despite the controversy and the onslaught of negative commentary, Chris’ loyal fans have sent him words of encouragement and support, many of which can be viewed on his Facebook page. He’s even been in touch with Mike Taylor, the fan he had removed from the show.

“I tweeted him and apologized to him, and he was wearing my shirt the next day, [but] I definitely wish I could turn back the hands of time so he could see the show,” Chris said. “It’s not the way it’s supposed to go. I wish he could have seen the show.”
